Thanks for registering for GigHacks, KC Digital Drive’s gigabit hackathon May 1-3 at the Google Fiber Space.
Before you plan to come blow minds with gigabit connectivity, there area a few things we’d like you to help us out with:
1. Register on Eventbrite & Check out the Updated Agenda
First, to confirm that you really are coming, please get a ticket for yourself and any other team members on Eventbrite, where we have posted the full agenda. Note that there are a couple of extra tickets, for the Friday Reception Sponsored by Google Fiber, and the Shinra Showcase. You do not need to get tickets to all three, just get Hackathon Admission.
But, please share the other events with your friends who may want to come join you for the kickoff reception, or any GAMERS you know who would geek out about the Shinra Showcase on Saturday. Those two events are open to the public.
2. Post Ideas & Connect on ChallengePost
ChallengePost is more than just a way to register for this event. You can also send messages to each other and post discussions. If you have an idea for a project to work on, post it on the DISCUSSIONS board. If you see anyone you'd like to work with on the PARTICIPANTS tab, feel free to send them a message. We'll be sending UPDATES like this that will be sent to your email. During the hackathon, we'll use this platform to collect project SUBMISSIONS so they can live past the hackathon.
Parking is available in the Google Fiber parking lot and on streets only. Do not park in any other nearby parking lots.
Food & drink: Our sponsor Google Fiber is generously providing refreshments at the kickoff reception, lunch Saturday and Sunday, and all the coffee, soft drinks and snacks you can consume throughout the weekend. Thanks, Google!
